My Home
I live with my wife (who is also named Jasmin), and parrot, Benny, in the Nutana neighbourhood. I'm a collaborative community leader, proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and sustainability champion, with a soft spot for city planning.
I grew up in a small town in southeastern Saskatchewan, as one of five kids. But to me that small town has always just been the last place we landed when we quit moving for my dad’s job at the grain elevator. It wasn’t until I started to build a life with my wife here in Saskatoon that I knew I had found my home.
My Hope
When we moved to Saskatoon I quickly became involved in the Nutana Community Association. As my wife and I got to know our neigbours, and our neighbourhood, we both knew we had found our home. We’ve built our lives together here. We both went back to school here and, found opportunities to work in our chosen fields. After renting for a number of years, we bought our first home here in Nutana, and we got married at the iconic Bessborough Hotel, right here in Ward 6. We’ve been privileged to build our village of neighbours, friends, and chosen family here.
It’s with a deep, genuine love for our home that I’ve decided to run for city council. I want every resident of Ward 6, to feel the sense of opportunity and hope for the future of this city that I do.
